  - Close tempfile before opening editor
  - Added -no-encoding option to turn off utf-8 encoding

  - Added datarootdir to Makefiles (although still not using it)
  - Fixed up configure.in.dist file to search for some libs
  - Fixed up makefiles so compilation will happen properly.
