Cleancode.org is an organization committed to writing software in a completely different way; With Standards! We believe that all open source software should be written in a consistent style and with consistent ideas. Not all programmers have the same ideas, let's face it, so there are ways to focus everyone's attention on items that should be consistent. These ways are through documentation. We believe in documenting your project. Don't laugh just yet, have you actually documented your project properly?
We also believe in maintaining your code. Consistency with style is more important than most of us like to think it is. Having a standard style throughout your project and forcing this consistent style not only helps everyone in reading the code, but also keeps the programmers from making mistakes when maintaining the code which can lead to bugs, security risks and just plain poor performance! There are a lot of areas to cover with these ideas. There are only a few developers out there who find documentation and consistency important. We are some of those few. This site is an area to house some of our projects which will follow all of the guidelines above. If you are interested in cleancode.org, please send us an e-mail from the Contact form. Or, if you'd rather talk to us and others about Cleancode, please visit our Forum. Otherwise, you may view some of our Projects that are currently under the cleancode.org domain. This is an open source community, so please feel free to inquire about our code and/or cleancode.org. Any suggestions or comments are fully welcome. We force no standards or views on any one project. We just ask for consistency within that project. |
